Optimistic Christmas update
Fallout BGE team Fri, 12/21/2007 - 22:54
[img_assist|nid=130|title=Avrocar or How the Cold war never ended|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=100|height=79]A relatively long time has passed since we updated our webpage, usually a sign of a certain “zombie” condition of the mod – but in the case of Fallout: BGE, that is not true. We have worked very hard and probably more than ever [/propaganda]. Thanks to the last four months of constant endeavour, we can promise a complete English translation of the game, new animations, critters, graphic sets and probably even talking heads.
[img_assist|nid=111|title=Avrocar|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=100|height=75]Several new images are accessible in our gallery – Avrocar by Nyibelunger, characters' concept art (Zahartof) and several dialogues from Czech version (English screenshots will be available as soon as Crow creates them, come back in January).
The team has grown up – new members are Nyibelunger (3D art), Gaf (Czech to English translation), well known Continuum (3D art) and freelancer Bumkin (3D art for a change). Specifically, Nyi has shown a fantastic working pace and is responsible for many new items, for example the Avrocar. Unfortunately, DaVca and Ratmahatma moved to the inactive (retired) section of BGE, and Hnoj has probably left us forever (not dead, just not working :-) ).
[img_assist|nid=128|title=Mean ghoul with an even meaner gun|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=79|height=100]To hasten the development, we still seek scripters and people skilled (!) in converting art for Fallout (we have art, but not enough people to convert it to frm). If you feel you can help, contact us using forum or email. We also appreciate freelancers, who contribute with single assignments (art, sound, music, video,...)
In the longer term, we are looking forward to welcoming English proofreader(s) into our team, artists with a passion for video, and several Polish, Russian or other translators - depends on number of Fallout fan(atics) in each country.
Well, as lousy carols in every shop suggest, we should wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, hopefully without any need for Vaults and fallout shelters. See you in January!
